Inter-ámericas ADOBE BUILDER measures 11" wide and 14 1/2" tall with color cover, and some interior color (on coated 80 lb. paper). This recent issue contains research on earth-wall’s thermal properties by professor John Morony, followed by articles about Huston Rammed Earth and Arizona plaster expert Jim Estess. There’s a follow-up on a solaradobe project begun in Issue 42(above), by owner-builders Ronnie and Delma Carrillo- who continue to add on as the years go by. Then, owner-builder/archaeologist Bruce Love discusses his new Mojave Desert adobe in California (4 pp.). Next, architect Mark Chalom of Santa Fe takes us off-grid with a beautiful solaradobe in Northern New Mexico (3 pp.). Rammed earth aficionados will enjoy the update by Colorado architect Greg Madeen (5 ½ pp.).
